Whad up!!

I was eagerly waiting to download HIMYM 321 on Tuesday but realized that the 320 was the last episode of season 3... and that too ... i realized it today ... coz there wasn't any connectivity for the last 3 days due to technical problems .

I bought a new mouse... a logitech one ... obviously .. but to my disappointment ... didn't realize that the piece i bought was a PS/2 instead of the USB mouse .Anyway I actually needed it at college ... for my desktop .
But,I was disappointed that I may not have any real gaming action at home with this laptop. So, now I spend my free time at the TV or playing on Sony PS2.

My brothers tenth results also came out on 27th,Tuesday... and he did pretty well . He scored less than what he expected and was disappointed, but later realized that it was after all a pretty good score and was happy with it.

Today is the first semi final of IPL and i am cheering for the Rajasthan Royals when they face the Delhi Daredevils !!!

PS

PS in short for practice school ... as all Bitsians know ... it is a 45 day training program that every person who has completed the courses of 2nd year must take up. We are made to give our preferences for various stations well in advance and alloted a station according to our CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average).

My PS1 is at The Krishna District Milk Producers mutually aided Co-operative Union Limited, Vijayawada. As it is very hot right now ... we were a bit disappointed with the timings that we were alloted with , i.e , from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon . This was because there weren't a lot of things to learn and wouldn't take up that much of time. Our instructor who accompanied us also looked to be strict , as he was new to the job, but pretty soon understood that there wasn't any need to exert such pressure on us by the means of rules and regulations.

On Saturday , I was supposed to know how things were carried out in the refrigeration unit .At least ,that was pretty interesting when compared to the long hours of waiting that we had done on the previous days .We also went into the cold storage which was pretty cool .The only drawbacks in the Refrigeration Unit is that it smells bad with the leaking of Ammonia(NH3) and there are loud noises of machinery around.

kaNTRi

Yesterday, i watched the movie kantri and it was simply superb. It contained all the elements to be a family entertainer and is definetly a great success .

The hero is NTR and the heroine in the film is Hansika . There is another heroine but she appears only only on a short stretch of time.

The combination of these actors rocked because both of them were highly energetic stars .The songs of the film were very good and audio received a very good response from the people before the launch of the film. Music director Mani Sharma did a very good job in bringing up the audio in such a fashion .The songs were picturised brilliantly and Ntr's dance added to the glory galore .

The comedy in the film was quiet good and children were laughing loud in the theaters . :D

The main attraction of the film is the exceptional performance of young tiger, NTR . Do see the film , the twists are mind blowing and awesome .

Adios!

Lucky United Wins

Didier Drogba gets sent off for a petulant hand to the face of Nemanja Vidic. John Terry slips and put his penalty attempt off the post. And Edwin van der Sar saves the 14th kick of a penalty shootout.

Instead of another English Premier League or FA Cup game at Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge or Wembley, this drama was being played out half a continent away in Moscow's Luzhniki stadium, and resulted in Manchester United's 6-5 penalty shootout win over Chelsea to give the Reds their third European Cup crown.

The result — which followed 1-1 draw from 120 minutes — made Chelsea a runner-up for the third time and underscored United manager Alex Ferguson's belief that the Premier League had caught up with and probably overtaken the leagues of Spain, Italy and Germany.

"The improvement in the Premier League is very noticeable," said the veteran Scottish manager who has now won 22 titles in his 22 years at Old Trafford. "I am pleased because it was a fantastic game. I have watched finals in the past and they have not been very good because of the pressure."

With the rain increasing, Van der Sar dived to his right to block Nicolas Anelka's penalty attempt to give the Red Devils the title — 10 days after United edged Chelsea to win the Premier League crown.

"That's the first penalty shootout I've ever won," Ferguson said. "I lost three with Aberdeen and three with United so it's seventh time lucky."

In a final that included a red card and all the flareups usually associated with meetings between English powerhouses, Cristiano Ronaldo put United ahead in the 26th minute. Frank Lampard equalized in the final minute of the first half.

In extra time, Chelsea hit the post and the bar before goalkeeper Petr Cech saved Ronaldo's penalty in the shootout. But Terry, stepping up for a chance to win the title, slipped and hit the right post.

"I was thinking he's going to score," Rio Ferdinand said of Terry, his defensive teammate on the England national team. "He's a great penalty taker normally but he slipped. Unfortunately someone's got to lose and tonight it's them."

Anderson and Ryan Giggs — making a club record 759th appearance to surpass Bobby Charlton — then hit the target for United.

Carlos Tevez, Michael Carrick, Owen Hargreaves and Nani converted United's other attempts, while Michael Ballack, Juliano Belletti, Lampard, Ashley Cole and Salomon Kalou scored for Chelsea.

"Twelve years ago I lost on penalties and we've won it now," said Van der Sar, who won the title with Ajax in 1995 but lost in a shootout to Juventus a year later. "It's unbelievable. We deserve it. It's fantastic."

While his teammates ran to congratulate Van der Sar in front of the United fans behind the goal, Ronaldo lay face down in the center circle. Eventually he got up to join in the celebrations.

By contrast, Terry was in tears at the end and was hugged and consoled by coach Avram Grant, who appeared to throw his runners-up medal into the Chelsea crowd.

"He is very sad and he cried, but he is the main reason we are here," Grant said. "It was not a normal season. He took responsibility today to take the last penalty."

Ferguson, who also led Man United to the Champions League title in 1999, also won two Scottish league titles, the Scottish Cup and Cup Winners' Cup with Aberdeen.

Soccer

I wasn't having any physical exercise after i returned home .... but, today morning i went out to play football with my friends . It was a very exhilarating experience for me since i haven't played soccer for about 2 years. Yes, thats true . I have totally ignored football after i went to college. But, i used to play cricket and volleyball regularly.

So....tomorrow i have to attend my practice school 1 classes, which are almost absolutely useless.
Hope the instructor will be kind and not bother us with anything insane in this hot summer sun.

IPL

The biggest sporting event that is currently happening in India is the IPL, an abbreviation for Indian Premier League .

This is based on the sport of 20-20 cricket and the response to the event is outstanding. There are also unexpected turn of events during the season. The Rajasthan Royals was considered as the worst team in the event but it turned out to be the best till now!

The games are very interesting and electrifying will the boundaries being hit all round the ground. My favorite teams are the Rajasthan Royals as i've been living in Rajasthan and Mumbai Indians. My home team Deccan Chargers hasn't played well in the tournament...which is very disappointing when we look at the star lineup they had in the beginning!

News of the week

China has been the main hotspot in all of the news this week . The earthquake that shook siachun was measured to be 7.8 . It has caused a lot of material damage and taken many lives as well. Lets pray for those who lost their lifes in the calamity.

The spotting of a nuclear submarine base and many secret missile launching stations (aiming southern Russia and northern India) have also caused concerns over the weekend.
