Weekend

All the three days, starting from Friday , i spent most of my time writing a 30 page report for mere 10 marks in a course 'modern history'.My topic was Italy under the dictatorship of Mussolini.A bit interesting.Anyway, i got through it. Done!

Also on Saturday night a inter bhavan(hostel) cultural festival was held called INBLOOM 2K8.
And guess what.......our bhavan ,i.e, Gandhi Bhavan won the event convincingly . First in Dance and second in Music .

YEYEEYEEE!!!

Save the Olive Ridley Turtles

Orissa,India is one of the planet's last places where highly-endangered Olive Ridley Turtles nest en masse. If the Tatas build a port here, the turtles could disappear, taking an entire ecosystem along with them.

There has been a movement put up by Greenpeace in this regard .It gives you a chance to directly write to Ratan Tata about this problem .Please check the link out for more information.

I would like to share a (then scary ) funny experience of mine with dogs. This happened when i was in 8th Grade(i guess) and my brother was also with me then. We were coming out of an institute where we learned MS Office at 8'o clock in the night. It had a huge open area between the building and the gate itself. We got on my bicycle and were about to leave . Just as i started riding,don't know how,but i got one of the dumbest idea of my life.....to bark at the dog ( lol ) and provoke it.

But from out of nowhere it regrouped with 4 other dogs and chased us (just imagine the chase sequences in telugu films and enjoy). When we were about 50 yards away from the gate , a group of elderly people shooed them off.Thank god!!!Otherwise,they could have chased us home!

Moral:::Never woof! woof! at dogs....they might understand that in a bad bad way.( rofl )

Scrubs!

So last night i felt bored and then was struck by this idea of watching scrubs ! I am currently on the eleventh episode and the series is pretty cool.I liked it.
Basically, it was all about comedy mixed up with certain emotional sequences.Most of the sitcoms that i've been watching are having a break right now.....thats y i am bored :-(

I absolutely love comedies !!! :)

I have also been watching Prison Break,Heroes,Himym and The Big Bang Theory.So,if you guys are all bored up ...then try any of these,though PB,HIMYM,Scrubs are my favourite .
I've also watched Mind Your Language (only 'class'y comedy).It rocks.

Dynamics Of Social Change

The title of the post is one of the courses that i that i have been doing this semester.For the most part till now i felt that this is a crappy subject and only helpful for getting a grade. Basically,this happened because we need to write a lot of crap to get marks in the exams!

Today's class was based on urbanization and how relationships between family members are diminishing in the Indian context.This was particularly interesting,not because of the boring lecture but because of an idea which i got because of this lecture.I got the thought of preparing a family tree of my family........not a big deal, but when my professor asked "How many of you know the names of your great grand parents?" only 1 out of the 10 people present in the class responded positively!!! This made me think. I have been close to my grand parents ever since my childhood but i haven't asked much about their parents or childhood till now.I felt bad after thinking about it.

If you like the idea of a family tree, do make one for yourself! :D

Sickest Guy On Earth!!!

Not a good way to start up,but i cant help it. I am opening with a disappointing event that took place a couple of days back !!! :-(

Ever wondered who this is ? Thinking about Osama ??? This man's sadism surpasses even the most notorious criminal minds in the world.My friends at BITS might have already guessed the answer,but for u guys...it is our warden in second year.Only a few instances might be enough to describe the psychotic nature of our warden!

If he comes to the bhavan for inspection it is almost certain that he wouldn't leave without shouting at a bunch of students , for absolutely no logical reason at all. Most of the time the victims are me and my friends :) .A particularly bad reputation is there in his mind on our wing....from 3 years back ,he says "T-wing(the wing in which we are staying) has been the most 'notorious' wing for the past two years and you people are trying very well to keep up the reputation."What a chut he is.

Some instances:

1.Playing games in the QT(central open area in a bhavan where there are badminton and volleyball courts) is not allowed!

2.Transferring anything on IP mesenger is considered as hacking and you can be jailed for it!!

3.You must have the guts to fight against him to celebrate a friends birthday.In the case of anybody 's birthday the b'day gets to eat the cake and the rest of the cake should be thrown into the dust bin!!!

So,that's it about the worst human being i have faced till date. Hope life doesn't bring anymore of such characters in the future!
