F.R.I.E.N.D.S ----> FOES

I found out that there are two main reasons why a friend might become your worst enemy.
First up, you might learn something about your friend that you previously do not know. For example, if you are a sincere police officer and discover that your friend is involved in criminal activities, he becomes your foe. Some people might argue that friendship has no bounds or barriers. But, in reality this ain't true. Don't you think that a sincere officer would give a higher priority to his work ethics rather than his personal ethics.

Secondly, it might be a change in himself or his friend. Change is very common to human life. This change might not be acceptable for one or the other. These, i think, are the main reasons for breakups in friendships or any other kind of relationships. These are unavoidable. They just happen.


The reason why i am writing this crappy post is that i haven't been talking to one person who was my friend,due to ego issues. That's not the point! His other friends now feel that it is my mistake and try to provoke me everywhere. I could only hope that GOD saves them coz I ain't doing that.

I have become a huge fan of Arsenal Football Club recently. Though they have a young and inexperienced team, they give their best. With teamwork and outstanding personal attributes they are ruling the premiere league.

Cricket match

When there is no LAN in the rooms...people turn out to alternative solutions for spending their time peacefully. Some do it by going out to the library and ghoting(GHOT=Generating Heat On Table,reading:p) up stuff. Others watch movies. But, people like me go out and get some physical exercise. I either go to the Gym or out to the field to play cricket. The volleyball net is not put up in the Bhavan, so cant play that either. Yesterday, we played a cricket match. To make it interesting we divided ppl on the basis of their branches. It was A1C6(Chemical & IT) vs A7(Computers). The games would be more competitive if the players have something to say that they have in common. Here its their disciplines. I am an IT student. Our team won the match, but only just! I got in as the opener. Was out the first ball(0 of 1). But, i am happy that my team won.

Note:I wanted to post this on Monday at 10:45pm ... look at the time now. This explains the sad situation of our Network.

BD LAN suckz

I have been backing up BUDH BHAWAN coz i stayed there in my first year and am doing so, now in my third year. A bhawan is hostel. Budh is the name of our hostel. I cant disagree the fact that the LAN connection in our bhawan is the worst in BITS. It sucks!
Ya, it simply does! I couldn't be able to play D.O.T.A for 3 days. Then, even the homepage of google wouldn't open. It was miserable. I actually lined up a lot of things that i wanted to publish in my blogs, last weekend. But, due to the faulty connection, I couldn't. So, i watched 3 movies and some episodes from scrubs though i had an 'online' test that Sunday. Luckily that test was in the Ipc(Information processing center, the computer lab, more commonly). Otherwise, everyone would have got a big 0.

Misconception

Most people i know have a misconception about blogging. They think..."If you wanna blog you should be very good at English(for writing a blog in English of course :p)." I feel that it isn't the English we speak, but, the ideas we convey matter most for writing a good blog. I just write a blog for fun and to express my feelings!

There are two reasons why i am writing this post.

1.I have started publicizing my blog recently(not the large scale advert.) and have been receiving positive comments from some of the readers. This really motivated me and now,I am gonna try to make better, more informative posts. I am quite surprised that a friend of mine actually decided to start blogging.

2.The first test of the schedule given in a previous post has gone well for me. Not excellent, but, well!!

Speed Breakerz

Whenever I plan to do something useful(like making a header image for my blog), I always end up caught in a flash flood of exams or some other thing. This time it is the exams, I didn't realize till yesterday that a series of continuous exams are heading towards me. Its going to be really hectic for next 10 days or so.



I have a test on 19th,21st,25th,28th,29th and 30th of this month, which include 2 lab components also. There even might be surprise quizzes adding to the misery! At this moment, my lifez all f**ked up! Hope it will be great the next month(as OASIS is scheduled in the second week).



OASIS is a cultural festival held @ our college ever year. There will be break of about 10 days to enjoy ourselves before we get back to abnormal living!

I want to add a header image for my blog. I guess, i will start from scrap and make one suiting my interests. I am not well versed in photoshop, so this might take some time :p

I always try to put forth some ingenious or rather stupid philosophical ideas or psychological issues. One of my recent thought was regarding the personality of individuals. I felt that most of the people try to cover up their original personalities and act like someone who they really aren't.

Basically, this idea struck me when there was a power failure at night. The most silent people that you ever know would be howling,shouting and going wild. This made me think that they are active people who are hiding in a shell!

IGNITION-->ignited!

So, what is IGNITION?

It is a cyber gaming tournament that was scheduled to be held on the 13th and 14th of September @ BITS-pilani. OK then. But, y the 'ignited' tag? This is because it has been cancelled for the second time consecutively.

The reasons are obvious, sponsorship issues. But, I feel bad when BITSIANS(the people involved in dealing with sponsors) do not manage to make the event happen after trying for two years in a row. The management is also responsible for the failure. I guess they showed no interest in conducting a National Level Gaming event. Most of the people i find look down on gamers as some retarded assholes having no work to do. They are retards who do not understand the beauty and the technical complexity involved in developing games/playing them. There is another category of people who feel that playing a game will add to their 'CooL' meter. In our college, I see only a few people who are really passionate about games. I don't say that playing games does not effect ones' academic performance or something. There must be some limitations.

The games which were scheduled to be held were:

1.CRYSIS
2.FIFA 08
3.NFS MOST WANTED
4.COUNTER STRIKE
5.DEFENSE OF THE ANCIENTS(DOTA)
6.AOE

I strongly hope that the event would be held next year and it would be a huge success. I see a bright future for gaming and gamers in India.

One of thing that i liked about the whole thing was that my gtalk status message(regarding the cancellation of IGNITION) featured in an English press Club Newsletter.

BOSM 2k8

BOSM is the annual national open sports meet held at BITS, pilani. It might be the last one that i ever get to see as a student @ BITS, pilani.

The event itself is a very good opportunity for one to get away from routine life and have a break. Not only sports persons get a chance to fight for their college, but also others have a go at it by showing awesome enthusiasm and great turn-up for the events. The most watched event would definitely be basket ball. We also follow volleyball coz one of our friend is the captain of the BITS volleyball team :).

I thought that we would also be having a chance to compete during BOSM, for IGNITION, but, it has been cancelled. More on this in the next post.

Concentrate!

Hey guys,

I had been thinking about this for a while. I wanted to test how powerful is the power of concentration. My test subject:myself.

Some of you might be thinking that i worked out on breaking a glass by just watching it/ controlling others brains! I didn't go that deep but it would be a really interesting topic.

1.Back in the month of July, I have been playing Track Mania Nations Forever.So i had taken a particular track as my testing ground.This track is so narrow that only the car fits in it. One minor move and u r out of contention. So, if u get ur car in a linear path before entering that section,it's a piece of cake for u! But, if u don't, u really want to concentrate a lotttt! (Y the extra t's?) But,if you manage to reach that level of concentration, the narrowest of tracks can become large enough that you can steer you way through.

There is a shortcoming, which i would mention at the end.

2.Another example stuck me when i was playing cricket yesterday. The stumps are only a few inches apart and hitting them from 50m out, time and time again would require immense concentration. I am quoting these examples because I had experienced the change first hand.

Be it outdoor/ electronic games, concentrating too much will always spoil the fun factor in it. So, you would need more practice to make concentration as your trait and enjoy the game simultaneously.
